Nakamura’s light bulb: the Global Energy Prize laureate elaborates on LED lightning technology in the Academy of Taiwan

The Global Energy Prize laureate, Shuji Nakamura, gave a lecture in the Academia Sinica, a preeminent research institution. During his speech the highly recognized scientist explained about the invention of the bright blue LED as well as about the future of the LED lightning.

1 MILLION RUBLES FOR NEW TECNOLOGIES IN THE ENERGY SECTOR: “THE ENERGY OF BREAKTHROUGH” OPENS THE APPLICATION PERIOD

On February 1, The Global Energy Association announces the beginning of application period for the 3rd All-Russian competition of youth implemented innovative projects in the field of energy The Energy of Breakthrough. Young scientists, students, post-graduate students of higher educational and research institutions as well as experts from specialized organizations under the age of 35, from all regions of Russia can participate in the contest. The deadline for the application is March 15. The winner will receive a personal award of RUB 1 mln.

Calls for Top Energy Journalism Submissions for Energy of Words Award 20 JANUARY 2017, Journalists and media organizations from around the world can now make their submissions for the annual Energy of Words Award beginning the 20 of January 2017. This competition was established by the organizers of the Global Energy Prize, one of the world’s most respected awards in energy science. The Energy of Words Award aims to reward those who have written an illuminating story on the energy challenges faced worldwide or on any scientific innovations which provide new energy efficiencies.
