Sergey Brilev: Tatarstan’s energy facilities will be shown in a film dedicated to 100th anniversary of the Tatar ASSR
Nizhnekamsk
Sergey Brilev, President of the Global Energy Association, Deputy Director at TV channel "Rossiya", is preparing a film for the 100th anniversary of the Tatar ASSR, in which he intends to include shooting at energy facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to Brilev, such plans were discussed at his meeting with Chief Engineer of the Nizhnekamsk Hydroelectric Power Plant Ramil Mardanov during his working trip around the republic.

The HPP is a part of Tatenergo, but it mainly supplies power to Samara. This is an interesting energy balance and balance of interests,” said Brilev after the meeting.

The Nizhnekamsk Hydroelectric Power Plant is located on the Kama River in Tatarstan, near the Naberezhnye Chelny city. It is a channel hydroelectric power plant.

Construction of the hydropower plant was started as early as 1963, but the first unit did not work until 1979, as most of the builders were moved to the construction of the neighboring KAMAZ plant.

The Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was founded in May 1920. It ceased to exist in August 1990 by turning into the Republic of Tatarstan.
