The visit took place to mark the 300th anniversary of the Kuzbass region in Siberia. And the event is the subject of a new documentary film by Sergey Brilev. During the visit, the president of Global Energy toured the Yalevsky mine and the coal-producing company Siberian Coal Energy Compsny (SUEK), located in Prokopyevsky district. Sergei Brilev descended to the coalface at a depth of 380 metres.
Other stops during the visit included Azot in Kemerovo, one of Russia’s biggest producers of fertiliser and ammonium nitrate, and the KOKS complex, specialised in producing coke for steel production.
