RusHydro to renew hydraulic power units at nine hydro stations

RusHydro , as part of its complex modernisation programme, intends to proceed with a renewal of its hydraulic units at nine hydropower stations – Votkinskaya (Perm region), Volzhskaya (Volgograd region), Mainskaya (Khakassia), Nizhegorodskaya, Saratovskaya, Cheboksarskaya (Chuvashia), Ezminskaya (North Ossetia), Rybinskaya and Uglichskaya (Yaroslavl region).

Indian oil imports surpass annual maximum

Oil imports in India in February 2022, expressed on daily terms, rose by 4 % compared to January – to 4.7 million barrels per day (bpd), according to Refinitiv data. Global LNG markets may see shortages in the 2020s – Shell

World-wide demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) will increase by 90 % by 2040, exceeding 700 million tonnes, Shell said in its annual report on the LNG market. About 70 % of the increase will be accounted for in Asian countries, which have difficulties with COVID-19 and are tackling their own issues.

U.S. nearly tripled imports of Russian oil in 2021

Russia producers nearly tripled shipments of oil to the United States in 2021 – in 2020, the United States imported from Russia on average 76,000 barrels per day (bpd), while in 2021, that figure rose to 209,000 bpd, according to data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) of the U.S. Department of Energy.
