The specialists from the Research Institute for Chemistry of Lobachevsky State University (Nizhny Novgorod) have created a semiconductor with perovskite structures that converts solar energy into chemical energy and simplifies oil purification from sulfur-containing compounds. The researching results are published in the Processes, a monthly journal issued since 2013 by the Swiss Multidisciplinary Digital Publications Institute (MDPI).

HeidelbergCement, Germany and its subsidiary Cementa have completed a feasibility study for a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project at the cement production site on the Swedish island of Gotland. The project capacity is 1.8 million tons of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to 3% of Sweden’s emissions.
