
Uzbekistan to Build the Largest Wind Farm in Central Asia
Saudi electricity company ACWA Power has signed a framework agreement with the government of Uzbekistan on construction of a 1.5 GW onshore wind power plant (WPP) in the Karakalpakstan region, western Uzbekistan. The $2.4 billion project is supposed to be completed by 2026 and will be the largest wind farm in Central Asia, reports the industry publication Saur Energy, citing materials for investors.
