Danish Topsoe has made its final investment decision on the $270 million project of the plant for solid oxide electrolyser production. The investment in the site construction in the city of Herning, central Denmark, will be the largest in the company’s 80-year history. The Danish Topsoe has long specialised in catalyst production but it has switched over to low-carbon technologies in recent decades.

Australian architecture studio Kennon has designed 550 Spencer, an eight-story office building with a façade of 1,182 thin-film solar panels from German manufacturer Avancis. The building will be able to generate 50 times more electricity than conventional rooftop solar panels.
