
Energy from elevation difference: 900 MW PSPP project
Infrastructure company rPlus Hydro has filed an application to the United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to obtain a license for the Seminoe pumped storage power plant (PSPP) project with a capacity of 900 megawatts (MW), which is being developed in Carbon County, Wyoming. The company plans to obtain the license in 2025 so as to start building the PSPP in 2026 and put it into operation in 2031.
