Ethiopia can satisfy 95% of its electricity needs with solar energy, suggested Mikael Alemu, the co-founder and CEO of 10 Green Gigawatt for Ethiopia at the conference “From Regional Global: Africa” organised by Global Energy Association.
One of the key problems in the energy complex of the African countries are huge electricity losses across the distribution grids. Such situation is underpinned by serious wear-and-tear of the distribution grids facilities, Andrew Amadi (Kenya), General Director of the Kenya Renewable Energy Association claimed at the second conference of the Regional to Global cycle organised by Global Energy Association in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia).
