An agreement to that end was signed on June 15, 2023, on the sidelines of the 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Sergey Brilev, President of the Global Energy Association, and Marsel Nigmetzyanov, Director General of Evocargo.
The agreement is based on a common understanding between the partners regarding the importance of scientific and technological advances in the field of energy for the sustainable development of the world economy, as well as the growing role of science in the development of the energy industry. The partners intend to promote energy innovations across the world, including as part of the agenda for the use of alternative fuels in the transport industry, by jointly organising scientific events, sharing knowledge, and engaging industry experts.
Evocargo is an innovative company that was one of the first in the world to launch a logistics service based on all-electric and hydrogen autonomous trucks of its own make. The partnership between Evocargo and the Global Energy Association, one of the leading international organisations in supporting innovation in the energy industry, will help establish an open dialogue in the areas of transport and the fuel-and-energy complex and create a single platform for interaction between industry sectors and the academic community.
Marsel Nigmetzyanov, Director General of Evocargo, noted that the agreement will mark the beginning of fruitful cooperation between partners in the field of energy development. “We hope that our cooperation with the Global Energy Association will allow us to develop the common energy space and support innovations for vehicles powered by alternative fuels,” he said.
“The increased use of autonomous vehicles creates more business opportunities and also makes an important contribution to the development of an eco-friendly industry. Global Energy is happy to facilitate the adoption of new technologies in a sector that holds so much importance for the Russian and global economies,” said Sergey Brilev, President of the Global Energy Association.
