“As of today, there is no specialised educational cluster in the world that would be dedicated to integration of knowledge, training and technology development at the same time. However, such a center should be established, as various studies, research and development both in energy sectors and related industries are conducted divergently”, commented A. Likhachev at the Plenary Session “Strong Education as the Foundation for the World Sustainable Development” that took place on 21 September 2023 within the framework of the Obninsk NEW International Nuclear Forum. The session moderator was Sergey Brilev, President of the Global Energy Association.
According to Alexey Likhachev, Rosatom will make every required effort to ensure progressive operation of the new Centre. “Take my word for it, we will invest in the Centre everything we know and everything we can. It is critical for us that this Centre becomes a venue for creating technologies of tomorrow”, he noted.
