Received Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Operations Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and Indira Gandhi National Open University.
Mr Saxena has over 30 years of experience in energy sector. He worked with India’s Ministry of Power, Central Electricity Authority, and Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). His position in TERI is connected to the topics of energy transition, distributed generation, smart grids, and economic forecasting.
Mr Saxena presided over the projects of solar power plants and energy markets regulation. Besides, he held senior positions in Inter-State Generating Stations and Inter-State Transmission System, where he worked on tariff regulation, as well as on planning grid expansion.
