Director, Melentiev Energy Systems Institute, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, RAS academician

Prof. Stennikov is a leading expert in the field of theoretical foundations, modelling, calculation, optimisation and system research of energy pipeline systems.

His main scientific results are related to the development of the methodology of modelling, calculation, optimisation of energy pipeline systems and the development of the theory of system research in power engineering. He is a professor of the Department of Thermal Power Engineering of the Irkutsk National Technical University, he has prepared and reads a yearly course of lectures on “Theory of Hydraulic Circuits and its Applications”.

Prof. Stennikov is a member of the Joint Scientific Council of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Scientific Expert Council on Energy Efficiency of the Irkutsk Region, an expert of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honoured Scientist of the Russian Federation.

Prof. Stennikov is the author and co-author of over 350 scientific papers, including 16 monographs.
