Prof. Bogoyavlenskiy is a PhD (1985), DEng (1996) and a Corresponding Member of RAS (2011).
From 1998 to 2008, he managed Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (PGS, Norway) in Russia and the CIS. He is a member of the Scientific and Technical Councils of Gazprom and RosGeo, the Russian Geographical Society and the international societies of EAGO, SEG and SPE, as well as editorial boards of the journals Drilling and Oil, Arctic: Ecology and Economics and the Scientific Journal of the Russian Gas Society.
Author of more than 200 scientific papers, including 12 certificates of authorship, 5 monographs and 11 atlases of regional oil and gas content.
