According to Mr. Titov, the main task for Latin American countries is getting an access to safe, reliable and environmentally friendly low-cost power.
Now Rosatom is one of the main uranium suppliers to the Latin American countries. “We hope to go beyond uranium supplies and find new options for cooperation. For example, floating nuclear power plants with low-power reactors might be in great demand in Latin America,” Vadim Titov said.
“The second thing is nuclear medicine. We are happy to be a reliable partner in supplying the final isotope products for treatment and diagnostics, in particular, for oncology diseases,” said Rusatom International Network CEO.
“Rosatom has increased sales of medical isotopes by 15% in 2023, with Brazil being one of their main consumers.
“We will be able to implement the entire complexes of nuclear medicine: construction of nuclear medicine centres and establishment of supplies of isotope-based pharmacological drugs,” Vadim Titov stressed.
