Russia’s Ministry of Natural Resources is proposing the imposition of new rules on producers to alter the plastic packaging on many types of goods, the daily Izvestia reported.

Courier service DHL is launching a service of environmental sea cargo deliveries dubbed “Sustainable Marine Service” which will offer customers the opportunity to lower the effects of sea container shipments on climate by reducing carbon emissions.

Shale oil production in the United States could hit a seven-month high in July, according to the country’s energy ministry. The production figure for the main shale production basins in the country should hit 7.8 million barrels a day next month – the highest level since last November.

Oil company Equinor, along with Var Energi and Aker BP, have discovered new reserves of oil in the North Sea, with recoverable resources estimated at between 8-23 million barrels of oil equivalent, the company said.
