Global Energy Prize Laureate Announcement Ceremony
Once the future laureates are selected at an annual closed-door meeting of the International Award Committee, the Global Energy Prize Laureate Announcement Ceremony takes place, a highlight of the Association’s calendar, which gives rise to a series of events that are of significance to the scientific, media and education communities.
Since 2020, these events are generally organised offsite, in one of Russia’s regional centres. The names of the winners are announced in a ceremony featuring head of the region, the president of the Association, members of the International Award Committee, guests of honour, and representatives of the media.
Footage from the ceremony is used in a documentary about the prize and the region, which is broadcast on television and online.
