The World Future Energy Summit: day 4
Today was the last day of the WFES 2015. It was dedicated to the solar and wind projects around the world. Experts discussed the risks and opportunities of developing and operating utility-scale solar plants and wind farms around the world.
Also during various panel discussions the energy sector leaders tried to find an answer on how to accelerating the move towards resource-efficiency and sustainable economic growth in different parts of the world. Thus, the view regarding this topic was presented by Dr. Claus Conzelmann, Vice President Safety, Health & Environmental Sustainability of Nestle Group (Switzerland), Robert Armstrong, Director of MIT Energy Initiative (United States), Michael Eckhart, Managing Director and Global Head of Environmental Finance of Citigroup, Inc. (United States), Dr. Rabia Ferroukhi, Director of Knowledge, Policy and Finance of IRENA (United Arab Emirates), Najib Saab, Secretary General of Arab Forum for Environment and Development, (Lebanon) and Dr. Stephan Singer, Director Global Energy Policy of WWF International (Belgium).
The closing WFES’s panel discussion was dedicated to the intersection of energy, sustainability and innovation. Panellists discussed new trends that shape the clean energy market.
As a reminder, the official delegation of the Global Energy Prize led by its President Igor Lobovsky participated in the World Future Energy Summit 2015.
