The Global Energy Prize annually honors outstanding achievements in energy research and technology from around the world that are helping address the world’s various and pressing energy challenges.

The Global Energy Prize awarding ceremony has been recognized by Global Event Awards 2016

The Global Energy Prize has been acknowledged one of the leaders, according to Global Event Awards 2016. The solemn awarding ceremony took the second place for the best decoration settings. This year 84 projects from 12 countries (CIS and Baltic region) competed for the Global Event Awards. 

The Global Energy Prize always touching and breathtaking awarding ceremony gained high recognition not for the first time. In October 2016 it was marked by the national award among events’ organizers “Golden Puzzle-2016”. It should be noted that the Prize awarding ceremony is the main festivity for the Prize laureates and, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin “is famous for its unique atmosphere of creativity, openness and scientific cooperation”.

The Global Energy Prize international significance was not once proved by the state leaders, including the US President George W. Bush, President of France Jacques Chirac, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and many other states’ leaders.

The project recognition as one of the main “engines” for science not only in Russia, but abroad as well is increasing year by year. This is proved by numerous awards and nominations gained by the Prize this year.

For example, in July 2016 the prestigious award in the sphere of mass communications, IPRA Golden World Awards acknowledged the role of the Global Energy Prize in the development of professional communications and search for the best specialists in energy field. Despite the fact that the All-Russian contest of youth scientific projects “The Energy of Youth” is held in Russia, it was acknowledged on the international level as well.

Generally, a wide range of the “Global Energy” Association youth projects were nominated for honorary awards (in particular, “The Energy of youth” program, “The Energy of breakthrough”, “The Energy of adventure”, “The Energy of knowledge”).

The project “Scientists as the XXI Century Super Heroes” was included in the short-list of two awards - SABRE Awards 2016 for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region and ICCO Global Awards. The Global Energy Prize project was among five best projects in the nomination “Marketing to Youth” (SABRE Awards 2016) and nomination “Best PR-campaign for a non-profit project” (ICCO Global Awards). Both awards are deemed to be among the most influential in communications sphere.
