WFES – 2019: the Global Energy Association and Heriot-Watt University Dubai negotiations on cooperation
The Global Energy Association’s business program on the World Future Energy Summit 2019 (WFES) is underway. Today, on January 15, the Global Energy Prize Association’s delegation held a meeting with the representatives of Heriot-Watt University Dubai: Dr. Tadhg S. O’Donovan, Associate Head of School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, and Professor Mercedes Maroto-Valer, Assistant Deputy Principal (Research and Innovation).
Heriot-Watt University Dubai is a campus of the state research University, one of the oldest higher educational institutions of Great Britain. The University has strong partner links in the field of researches with more than 25 countries worldwide, achieved the international recognition for research work as well as cooperates with leading companies, such as Cairn Energy PLC and Renishaw.
After the presentation of the Global Energy Association`s activity and initiatives, the parties discussed the possible ways of strategic cooperation development. The representatives of the University mentioned that they are interested in the Association`s youth programs and embrace the activity directed to support the young researchers.
It should be mentioned that starting from 2019 the Global Energy Association’s youth programs will become international. The applications for the projects will be accepted not only from the young scientists from Russia but also from the whole world.
Moreover, the University delegation is interested in the upcoming Global Energy Prize Summit, and specified the terms of the Global Energy Association’s expert pool entrance.
