Building on its long-term experience in holding contests for young scientists in Russia, the Global Energy Association is bringing its Youth Program to the international level starting from 2019. Now young engineers from all over the world can take part in the contest for the best research project and implemented idea.
The Global Energy Association completed the application period for the Global Energy Prize in 2019. All nomination submissions are handed over for professional examination. The final decision on the laureates’ selection will be taken by the International Award Committee, which consists of 20 honored experts from 14 countries. The names of new laureates will be announced on May 30, 2019.
The VIII Global Energy Prize Summit will take place at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, on April 10, 2019. Under the heading “Energy in the new technological cycle” world-leading scientists, politicians and industry experts from 13 countries will meet to discuss the most pressing energy and climate challenges of today. Within the framework of this topic, a panel session and several round tables will be held at the Summit.
The nomination submissions for the 2019 Global Energy Prize will be accepted till March, 20 on the official website. Self-nomination for the Prize is not allowed.The names of new laureates will be announced on May 30, 2019.
Vice-chairman of the World Energy Council Oleg Budargin became Chairman of the Global Energy Association Board of Trustees. The relevant decision was made by Board of Trustees’s general meeting.
On March 2, at the age of 89, an outstanding scientist, author of fundamental and works in the field of physics, the 2005 Global Energy Prize laureate passed away.
