The Global Energy Prize annually honors outstanding achievements in energy research and technology from around the world that are helping address the world’s various and pressing energy challenges.

The Global Energy Association announced the results of the Global Energy Prize International Youth Program

The Global Energy Association announces the winners of the Global Energy Prize International Youth Program. Since the year 2019 young scientists and engineers from all over the world could take part in the competition for the best research project and realized idea. Applications from more than 100 scientists from Europe, Asia and South America in two nominations “Idea” and “Startup” participated in the competitive selection.
The winners will receive grants to continue research work and personal prizes in the amount of one million rubles each.

In the nomination ‘Idea’ the winners are:

1. Roman Mishnev (Russia), ‘Traditional Energy’, project: «Perspective steel  for energy efficiency in thermal power plants».

2. Evgenii Naranov (Russia), 'Non tradutional Energy', project: «Production of high-quality bio-oil products using Ru-containing catalysts».

3. Tyanshy Ge  (China), 'New Ways of Energy Application', project :«Highly efficient heat pump system for air drying for railway vehicles».

In the nomination ‘Startup’ the winner is:

1. Evgenii Titov ( Russia) , 'New Ways of Energy Application', project : ‘The Intelligent control system of electromagnetic compatibility ’.

For 16 years in a row, the Global Energy Association has been holding contests for young researchers and innovators, thereby contributing to the formation of the future energy by encouraging scientists to develop advanced scientific and technological innovations.

Building on its long-term experience in holding contests for young scientists in Russia, the Global Energy Association is bringing its Youth Program to the international level starting from 2019.

The main goals of the Program are provision of incentives for research projects carried out by young scientists and engineers in the energy sector through the allocation of grants and personal awards and increasing cooperation and exchange of experience between Russian and young foreign engineers in the energy sector
