The Global Energy Association at the World Energy Congress -2019: Day 4

In the final day of the 24th World Energy Congress, the Global Energy Association held several presentations, a series of meetings, negotiations, and interviews, delegated its expert to participate in an interactive session. Representatives of the Global Energy Association also took part in the official closing ceremony of the 24th World Energy Congress.

Rodney John Allam, the 2012 Global Energy Prize laureate, the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee member, took part as a member of jury assembly in an interactive session on startup projects presentation. The expert gave recommendations to the authors of the projects on how to grow a successful business from a startup, attract first investments and succeed in business.

After the session he presented the report “Energy Transition. Energy in a new technological cycle”. Recall that the report was prepared for the congress following the results of the previous VIII Global Energy Prize Summit. The key topics of the report were the search for solutions for the transition to a new energy cycle and ways to achieve safe, reliable, affordable (financially and physically) energy, as well as the requirements for sustainable development of the energy sector and the impact of the 4th industrial revolution on the industry.

At the end of the day, the representatives of the Association took part in the closing ceremony of the 24th World Energy Congress, where Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak and Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Novak picked up the torch of the next 25th Congress, which will be held in St. Petersburg in 2022.
