Ministry of Energy will submit proposals on microgeneration to the Government in the third quarter

Yuri  Manevich, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation  said on Thursday that the department will make proposals to the government on the development of microgeneration in the electrical energy industry in the third quarter of this year.

“The terms will be specified in separate regulatory documents to be submitted by the Ministry of Energy in the third quarter of this year. At the same time, we assume that by the end of 2020 all of them will be adopted,” Manevich said during the online conference "Energy during and after COVID-19", organised by PJSC Rosseti, the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Global Energy Association.

According to the deputy minister, the department has repeatedly discussed the topic of microgeneration.  "It is connected with the smart energy systems, when any inhabitant of a private house can manage the consumption, sell surpluses, use mobile application, earn in the long term, probably, on these sales. We actively support introduction of clever consumption."

In turn, Pavel Livinsky, Director General of PJSC Rosseti, said that the company had no outbreaks of Covid-19: “We had no outbreaks recorded either at our construction sites, or in contracting organizations, or from our suppliers .... This is an invaluable experience that we will use in the future.”
