Experts at the Global Energy Prize summit discussed a systemic approach in the development of world energy.

The evolution of the world energy system requires new technologies for the extraction, processing and storage of energy resources, while changing the philosophy of their consumption. About why the development of such technologies is not only the solution of environmental problems, but also new incentives for the global economy, experts of the Sixth Global Energy Summit discussed.

The event was held within the framework of the Russian Energy Week. Experts from four countries, including Russia, discussed "Three E (Economics, Ecology, Energy) Synthesis Formation as a health factor of the Earth. New energy sources".

"The transition to green energy will increase the world GNP by 0.8% and create new jobs in the industry (about 26 million) by the middle of the 21st century," said a member of the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee, CEO IRENA Adnan Amin (United Arab Emirates). He also noted that the transition to renewable energy sources is becoming more economically justified. According to forecasts, during the next decade, the cost of generating solar energy can be reduced by 60%, and for wind energy - by 35%. So, last year the capacity of generated renewable energy has increased to a record 161 GW.
