The Global Energy Prize annually honors outstanding achievements in energy research and technology from around the world that are helping address the world’s various and pressing energy challenges.


This is the largest industry event dedicated to the trends analysis of the global fuel and energy complex, which will be supported by the Russian Ministry of Energy.The Forum will traditionally be attended by leaders of major international energy companies, leading world experts, heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, etc. Only energy ministers expected 40 people! In total, according to the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, the forum is planned to be visited by more than 10 thousand specialists from different segments of the industry, representing more than 100 countries of the world.

In addition, the Global Energy Prize laureates will be awarded at REW-2018 (until 2016 this ceremony was held within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum). And it is doubly pleasant that this time the representative of the Russian science, Academician Sergey Alekseenko, became the laureate for research and development in the field of heat and power engineering and heat transfer systems, increasing the resource potential of humanity. His Australian colleague, Professor Martin Green, received the Prize for research, development and educational activities in the field of photovoltaics, which reduced costs and increased the efficiency of solar cells.
