For 16 years in a row, the Global Energy Association has been holding contests for young researchers and innovators, thereby contributing to the formation of the future energy by encouraging scientists to develop advanced scientific and technological innovations.
1. NOMINATION 'IDEA'
Within the nomination, international projects and studies in the energy sector are considered in three areas: “Traditional energy”, “Non-traditional energy” and “New ways of energy application”. Winners are determined in each of these three areas: one per area. Each winner receives grant in the amount of around 14 000 Euro (1 million rubles) for the continuation of his research in the framework of the announced project for a period of one calendar year.
2. NOMINATION 'STARTUP'
International projects in the field of energy, successfully introduced into production during the last 5 years, are accepted for participation in the competition in the “Startup” nomination. For this category, one winner receives a personal prize of around 14 000 Euro (1 million rubles).

1. Roman Mishnev (Russia), ‘Traditional Energy’. Project: "Perspective steel for energy efficiency in thermal power plants".
2. Evgenii Naranov (Russia), 'Non tradutional Energy'. Project: "Production of high-quality bio-oil products using Ru-containing catalysts".
3. Tyanshy Ge (China), 'New Ways of Energy Application'. Project:"Highly efficient heat pump system for air drying for railway vehicles".
1. Evgenii Titov ( Russia), 'New Ways of Energy Application'. Project: ‘The Intelligent control system of electromagnetic compatibility ’.
